Linda McKissick has built an extraordinary 40-year career in real estate, rising from salesperson to Regional Owner of Keller Williams Realty. Today, she oversees 4,600 associates across 24 market centers spanning Southern Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Despite her remarkable success, Linda found herself trapped in an exhausting pattern: constantly teaching and training others while never receiving the strategic input she needed to keep growing.
When she joined Strategic Coach® in 2012, everything transformed—her business approach, her mindset about growth, and her courage to make big commitments.
“Every single important business decision I’ve made over the last eight years has come out of attending a Strategic Coach workshop.”

The Successful Giver
Linda's entrepreneurial journey in real estate began decades ago as a salesperson with Keller Williams Realty. Through determination and skill, she progressively assumed various leadership roles, ultimately building what would become one of the company’s most successful regions. Her leadership was respected, her systems worked, and her territory continued to expand year after year.
But Linda found herself trapped by her own success. “I pretty much was becoming the person that was teaching and training and giving the information, and what was missing was the ability to actually get knowledge and ideas poured into me,” she explains.
She was also struggling with the classic entrepreneurial challenge of scaling beyond herself. “Moving from being more of a solopreneur to succeeding through people is always the challenge when you own businesses,” she says. As a Type A entrepreneur who runs at “110 miles an hour,” Linda rarely made time for strategic thinking.
The Turning Point
The turning point came when Linda realized she had fallen into a dangerous pattern of complacency. Through Strategic Coach’s thinking tools, she discovered something unsettling: “I had stopped making the really big commitments that had gotten me to where my life was as big as it was and my businesses were as big as they were. I was starting to coast a little bit more or just feel good about the credentials that I already had.”
This realization became more urgent when Linda found herself hesitating over a commitment she knew she needed to make—turning around a failing real estate office in her territory that had generated only $30,000 the previous year. Fear paralyzed her: “I was scared to take it because at my level of success, I had a lot of people watching, and if I failed, how would that look to the people I was leading?”
Transformation Through Strategic Thinking
It was clear that despite her success, Linda needed a systematic way to break through her internal barriers and rediscover the courage that had originally built her career.
Enter Strategic Coach, where she immediately learned to create space for strategic reflection. “The biggest value is making me slow down long enough to think. When you do the thinking tools, you have to slow down and process,” she explains. The quarterly structure provided Linda with a framework to regularly assess her progress and strengths.
In the Program, Linda discovered success patterns she had never known existed and gained the courage to make significant commitments again. When she applied these insights to turn around that failing office, the results were extraordinary: it jumped from $30,000 to $275,000 the following year.
Strategic Coach fundamentally changed Linda’s mindset and connected her with a community of genuine contributors. “The people are all givers,” she says. Most importantly, Linda found personal fulfillment through continuous growth. “I'm a happier person when I'm learning and growing.”
When asked to summarize her Strategic Coach journey, Linda’s response is emphatic: “Growth, growth, and growth.”
